How to Check MEPCO Bill Online
A MEPCO bill check can be done from your phone or computer using the bill checker above. You only need the Reference Number or Customer ID printed on your bill.
Follow these steps:
- Enter your 14-digit Reference Number or 10-digit Customer ID.
- Click the Check Bill button.
- Review the bill details shown on the screen.
- Download or print a copy if you need one.
You don’t need to visit a MEPCO office just to view your bill. If you have an older paper bill, keep the Reference Number handy because it can be used when you check your bill again.
Reference Number Guide
The MEPCO Reference Number is a 14-digit number used to identify your electricity connection. You can find it on your MEPCO electricity bill, usually in the upper section of the bill.
If you have an old bill, look for the Reference Number before entering it into the bill checker. Make sure all 14 digits are correct. Even one missing or incorrect digit can prevent the bill from being found.
The Reference Number is useful when checking your bill online, downloading a duplicate copy, or discussing a billing issue with MEPCO customer service.
Keep your Reference Number available if you regularly check your electricity bill online.

What Information Is Shown on a MEPCO Bill?
A MEPCO electricity bill contains the information you need to understand your monthly electricity charges. The exact layout can vary, but a typical bill includes details about the consumer, meter reading, electricity usage and payment.
You may find the following information on your bill:
- Consumer name and address
- Reference Number
- Customer ID
- Previous meter reading
- Current meter reading
- Units consumed
- Bill issue date
- Due date
- Amount payable
- Arrears, if any
- Applicable taxes and other charges
- Late Payment Surcharge, where applicable
MEPCO’s consumer service documentation also describes billing history, payable amounts, arrears, taxes, late-payment charges and other bill components.
Before paying your bill, it is worth checking the meter reading, units consumed, due date and amount payable. If something appears unusual, compare it with an earlier bill and contact MEPCO through the appropriate customer service channel.
Check Your MEPCO Bill Using Customer ID
The Customer ID is another number printed on your MEPCO electricity bill. If your bill checker supports the Customer ID option, you can use the 10-digit number instead of the Reference Number.
You can usually find the Customer ID near the Reference Number on the bill. Enter the number carefully in the bill checker above and select Check Bill.
When your bill is available, you can review the information shown on the bill, including the amount payable, due date and meter-related details.
MEPCO’s customer service information also states that electricity bills include consumption and payment history for the previous 12 months.

Bill Problems and Corrections
Sometimes a bill may show a reading, charge or other detail that does not look right. Start by comparing the current bill with an earlier bill and check the meter reading and units consumed.
